Greetings & Salutations!

I have been reading through the forum one day and laughed when I read comments about how Betta's are gateway fish, leading further into the hobby. such is the truth!

I originally purchased two veil Betta's and had them in plastic 'Betta' tanks that were about the size of a large mason jar, so holding about 1L. I changed their water frequently, but then one day felt mercy and bought a 10 gal and put a divider in it. originally it was a clear divider, but I quickly put something opaque there as all they did was try to stare each other down. alas, McAllister & Howard passed when the water heater I had fritzed and cooked them while I was asleep one evening. :(

in any case, that was the gateway to me getting a larger 20 gallon tank that held other fish. that was shuttered eventually...but, I'm back. I want to do this again.

so hello! :D

Yeah, I don't know why guppies are called the missionary fish, as bettas obviously are. Welcome!
