Yeah if I was kept in a tiny dark room for 1/3rd of my life and then was suddenly put out in the world, I'd probably change a little too. I asked the petco guy how old his bettas were and he said the best way to tell was to go by the size of their actual body.
Mine just say "Male Betta". I went to my local tropical fish store and they had 4 dragonscale bettas, very pretty boys, one is silver with a red flaring stipe down his nose and back, I might get him lol but they are $13.99 o___o the HM's are 7.99 though, but they won't have any til tomorrow.
Yeah the guys at the store are kinda jerks about bettas. =/ One guy asked me why I was wasting a 10 gallon on betta fish and anter was ranting about how some people are sooo crazy about bettas.. If they didn't have such nice ones I would have told him off and left, but I kinda want a dragon of theirs, they have shorter fins, and seem really young.
Thats what I am thinking, I almost got a female I saw at petsmart, she really stood out from the others. She's a red and white marble, with red fins and white tips, I thought she was a male she kept flaring at the other females. I considered putting a female between two males instead of 3 boys. We'll see ;P
Well, off to catch Goku and do some tank fixing and then plant my new puny crypts that won't get bigger than 5" lol
Its so hard lol, I decided I wasn't going to divide my tank in 3, cause I wanted Goku to have the most space and be the happiest, but now I'm second guessing myself... or is it third guessing now... or 4th?

I find it doesn't really matter if the betta is pretty, as long as you make the "connection" with it. But... a dragon would be very tempting... XD
I'm getting another betta tomorrow... hehehe. >:)
