Well maybe they could live without a water change then change it when you get back.

This is what I did when I went away for 2 weeks and had my grandma take care of my fish:

I prepared two 2 gallon vases with the water already prepared and even a decoration in each vase. I told her for the first week to keep my betta in one vase and then for the second week, scoop up the betta in a cup and transfer it to the second vase. So thats the only thing she had to do for water change. For feeding, I told her to give only 1 pellet a day because I'd rather not have an overfed betta, and it minimizes the amount of ammonia the fish will give off (less food=less poo) Hope this helps!

Could I just a big water change before I leave? My moms really good about feeding. Or could I just call her and talk her through the water changes??

Depends how big your tank is. You could talk her through water changes too.

Two are 2.5s and one is a small kritter keeper which I clean every other day. I think I may talk her through.

Yup thats fine but I would prepare the water beforehand, so its exactly the way you want it.

No I can't take up there for two weeks and bring them back. I'll be way to much movement and the bettas will get stressed out.
