Question Big eyes = Ok?

My Betta, John, has huge eyes. Bigger than any betta eyes I have ever seen. Is that ok?

Please post a picture. It could be normal, or he could be suffering from pop-eye. However, it is impossible to know without pics.

Your betta has pop-eye. This results from poor water conditions. What size container is that and how often do you change the water? You will have to post this on the disease section because I am not familiar with treatment for pop-eye. But he does need a larger container and more frequent water conditions or he will really suffer and possibly die.

I think the size is a 1/2 gallon (I have seen those kits at Petco). Even though pet stores sell those, they are not the proper size for a betta. 1/2 gallon sized needs to have the water changed every other day or things such as this will happen. The ammonia from their poo builds up in the water and creates conditions such as pop eye, ammonia burns in the fins, fin rot, etc.
