Merlot is acting weird...

I don't know if it's because he's a PK and they move around really fast, but he won't stop swimming back and forth and he sort of twitches when he turns around. I don't know if that's just him swimming or what. I've never had fish swim around constantly all the time like that unless it's feeding time and he'll zoom all around in the front of the tank. Since he has short fins, it could be he's just having fun zooming around. I know this is stupid because they're fish and of course they have to swim, but he's swimming around so fast, I don't want him to get really tired and worn out. He'll take breaks and go up for air and he just kinda stays there for a couple minutes, than does it again. He isn't rubbing up against anything and I inspected his body and there's nothing clinging onto him. I'm probably just freaking out for nothing, but I just wanted to get your advice. I just got him Saturday, so I haven't had him that long and I haven't seen him move around this much. Bacardi doesn't zoom around like he does. I'm just confused... He's in a 2.5G and his water temp is at a constant 78*F.

Now Valentino is acting weird! Ugh! I feel like crying, I'm SO upset right now. He swims on his side and when he stops he leans almost all the way to one side. He hasn't been eating as well as he usually does, but I didn't think much about it, but now somethings wrong. He's a little bloated, but just a little. He's not bobbing up to the surface, he can still swim fine. :(

Yeah, I figured Merlot was just being crazy, but I just wanted to make sure. I've had Valentino for about a year and he was full size when I bought him so maybe he's like 3? But I know they can live 4-7 years so I don't think it's old age... Should I put him in a 1.5G or 1G? He's in a 2.5G right now. He doesn't seem to be having trouble getting air though, I have tall plants in there so he just rests on top of them.

I think its best to keep him in his tank unless he starts having trouble.

Nope, no ick or fin rot. His fins are sooo long and perfectly fine. I'll take a picture though, maybe you guys can see something I can't.

Ok here are some pictures. His bloating has gotten worse. I guess all I can do is fast him and hope the swelling goes down. He can still swim perfectly fine, but he stays at the top more. He even made me a bubble nest yesterday.

Okay it looks like he has parasites you'll want to add some Epsom Salt.

Umm Does Valentino have any signs of a pine-cone appearance in his scales?
