I was watching my two bettas. John and an unnamed female. They are really good friends. i just got this female yesterday, and John never flared at her.

I was watching the two, when John started to spazz. I don't quite know why he spazzed, but he did for about 20 seconds. When the female saw this, she immediately bolted to the side of the tank facing John's tank and watched him, freaking out a little bit. When John calmed down again, she calmed down again aswell. I hadn't seen that behavior in fish before. When one was spazzing, the other watched and freaked out until the first one settled. Then they were both resting and content.

I think this female really loves John.

It is! I think that if I could, and the tank was a little bigger, they might live together, but I don't really think I have space for a 20 gallon tank for all the little babies.
