Tank with no filter?

My new betta boy is only in a 2 gal so I don't have a filter for it! How often should I do water changes and should I only take 50% out or all of it?

I would do a 50% change twice a week and 100% every two-three weeks.

Looks similar to a few of my tanks. I normally do a full 100% WC once a week, and a 25-50% once or twice a week, maybe more if it looks like it needs it.

Here is my suggestion: Get a small filter as soon as possible and for now do a 25% water change once a week and once every 2 or 3 weeks take him out (and the decorations) and stir the water with the net and net out the debris that were stuck in the gravel. By the way love the tank!

On a 2g without a filter, I would do 1-2 weekly 50% water only changes and 1 time a week 100% water change. IMO you don't need a filter in that size tank but it won't hurt either as long as the current is not too strong and the water changes IMO should still be at least 3 times a week of 50% with one including vacuuming the gravel.
