I think this is Georges last night

Poor George. He has not gotten better in the past week. In fact he has gotten worse. I have been doing daily water changes with a bit of Epsom salt. I even broke down and got Betta Revive yesterday. But he isn't recovering

Tonight he is lying on the gravel barely moving. He isn't swimming or eating. I can only tell he is still alive if I move the bowl and he responds. I really don't think he will make it another day

My little boy said good bye to him tonight. I think I will too


Good night George. You were a great first fish. The kids in my class loved having you last year, and the boys in the house have enjoyed you at home.

Well, he is up and moving a bit this morning. I have treated him with Epsom salt and daily water changes. The past couple of days I treated him with Betta Revive.

Don't give up, a couple of days is not long enough, and sometimes they never recover no matter what you do, once the damage is done or if they are aging...you can only keep them comfy and if suffering you may need to think about doing the right thing that we all hate to talk about and do....but don't give up too soon.....

I appreciate the encouragement. He has been sick for over a week. He has good days and bad days. I was thinking about the unthinkable last night. He was that bad. I am happy to see him moving this morning.
