Ughhhh! Three year olds!

My daughter was standing on a stool looking at the fish and I looked away for just a second and then I heard her say that the fish were hungry. I looked up and saw that she had dumped a bunch of fish FLAKES in the 10 gallon divided tank. Oh man that stressed me out. I jumped up right away and used a net to get a bunch out then my hubby helped me get the gravel vaccuum working and that cleaned it good. She dumped it in the side with Tito who has bad SBD (he has had it since I brought him home from walmart). I saw him gobbling up as much as he could and now I am worried. I have to be careful with the amount he eats and now this! He will be fasting for a few days now. Oh I hate these terrible threes that my daughter is going through!!!!! She will make me go crazy.

Wait till she hits the 4s!!

She is beginning to show her independence. Do you let her help you feed the fish? She might just be wanting to help.

But I know what you mean about the 3s. We are on the 7s now.

I do let her help... she helps put one pellet in at a time sometimes but she never gets to help put flakes in because I am careful with how many of those I feed them. It is funny that they says terrible 2s but the 3s are so much worse. lol

AGH My mom let my little cousins feed my fish once :[ they dumped the WHOLE thing of pellets in the tank.......

Yes, kids are worth it. I love my daughter more than anything. I do keep my eye on her I only looked away for a split second. I usually put the food where she can't reach it but I must have forgot after feeding them that day.
