Smile Should I get a new tank?

My tank is small, http://www.petsupermarket.com/Produc...108319535.aspx this one to be exact. Do you think I should get a new tank? I personally think I should, but.. And should I get a heater? And like a few things for him? He has two plastic plants, I think he should get more but..

Whether you get a new tank or not is up to you, I would personally upgrade to something slightly bigger and add a heater, bettas thrive in higher temps and you will get to see the best of his colour. I wouldnt get plastic plants as these may rip his delicate fins, what you could do is the pantyhose test if the pantyhose scag then the plant is no good, if you don't want live plants then you could get silk plants =)

Thanks.

Yeah silk plants seem like the best. The rocks I have now are painted and the paint is peeling a little :( I'll get new ones

Thanks again

You could even get the rocks from the river or beach, most people do just make sure you boil them and scrub them throughly before adding to your tank :)

Ok, thanks. Yeah, we need a heater.

I might get some more colorful rocks :3

It's a shame we live so far away from a beach :(

That tank is in no way big enough for a betta. Its only about a half gallon and they act like you can fit two fish in it. I suggest getting at least a 2 gallon tank, bigger is better though.

Yes, PLEASE get a new tank!
Your betta will be so much happier and you'll be able to see him swimming around comfortably.
There are gold fish starter kits at Petsmart for $20, I think they are 1.77 gal which is still not ideal but so much better than what you have.
They are really nice looking and come with gravel, filter, background and a plant! They come in different colors. There's a bigger one for $24, I think it's a little over 2.5 gal.

If you get those tanks go with the bigger one. Its only an extra $4 and with the bigger tank you can cycle if you wanted, meaning you would have less water changes.
