Question Heater?

Ok so When I got my betta I told my mom he needs a heater, but she said No! She said he doesent need one!, I mean sure my room is really warm most of the time! I have a Bearded Dragon so my room stays at about 75-79 degrees. With these conditions, do I need a heater? BTW my room is warm year round, in the winter its hotter because of the furnice and in summer the temp doesnt change.

i don't think you need a heater than. but you might want to consider getting a bigger tank. the bigger the tank the more likely he is going to live a long life.

If your room stays at a consistent temperature, he should be ok until you can get a heater. If you cannot afford a larger tank, I suggest going to walmart or target and getting a 2-4 gallon plastic rubbermaid or sterilite bin.

These are safe for fish, and are actually better designed for keeping bettas than most fish tanks are because of their length and shallowness. These bins are only about $2 each, so you can keep your fish in there and not have to do such frequent water changes until you can get a real tank.
