Would this be okay?

I have a 5 gallon tank with 2 neons and 1 dwarf platy...All three of them were getting picked on so they had to be moved from their orginal 10 gallon home...Would these be okay tank mates for a betta?

NOO neons are especially known for BIG tail nippers

now i dont know about the dwarf platy. you could try it but if you decide the dwarf platy (get another one) so he is getting attention. (the platy) bettas dont need a whole lot of attention but they do need some.

also just whatever you do, do not put the betta in with the neons please..:)

As mentioned,Neons may nip the fins of the betta and both the neons and platy's both enjoy much cooler water than bettas need. Neons and platy's enjoy temp around 75 degrees F and the bettas would appreciate temps around 80 degrees F.

THATS GOOD you did your research yay. usually people are lazy and just dont do anything. lol so what are you going to go with

You might want to get the neons some friends. Neons are much happier when they are allowed to swim in groups of 6 or more. When there are too few to make a proper school the fish often get stressed and start picking on other fish in the tank, trying to make them into "honorary neons" to school with.
