Post Cherry Shrimp?

Ok, I was thinking about getting Akrin a Cherry Shrimp. I dont want Ghost shrimp because you cant see them very well. I was wondering where I can get some, I live in andover, MN so if you know any where near there like a walmart, petco, or pertsmart. Also, I'm worried Akrin might eat him and get sick. If a betta eat's a Cherry Shrimp, could it hurt him?

Eating the shrimp should not cause any harm to the Betta, but I would hold food for a day or two if he does.

Depending on the tank size and number of hiding places and live plants as well as the Betta itself, the shrimp may or may not survive.
Some Betta will tolerate shrimp and other will not- regardless of tank size, hiding place or live plants...you never know and then the Betta that tolerates the shrimp one day may not the next.....they love to keep us on our toes.......

Well he is in a 1G and there is a lie plant, its a Amazon Sword. and Akrin usauly isn't aggresive. Heck, you could probenly put a female in the tank, and if there is enough room like a ten gallon, he wouldent care

All you can do is try.....I have males in 1g that never touch the shrimp and others in 20g that attack and kill them...you never know....
