Post "the fish that threatened nationall security"

I've always been curious about transporting fish as carry-on on an airplane. I stumbled upon this story and I thought I'd share it with everyone.

I can't believe how mean TSA can be! Then again, this is post 9/11 and my brother used to be in TSA, so I can understand.


Does anyone have any interesting stories about transporting fish?

That is illegal. The FAA allows all pet fish to be taken on flights, the girl should have contacted someone and reported the TSA guy.

Awesome that everything turned out okay... but wasn't there a member on here who was given permission to go through with her fish? How is carrying a FISH dangerous?? Is she going to throw it on the nearest passenger, and hope they burst into flames? Pfft. That's just messed up. As she so elegantly pointed out, while they were wasting time and energy harassing her, a bomber COULD have gotten through. Nice priorities, guys!

That's very weird that the guy wouldn't allow them (but who really knows why he did this and what his reasons were.) to bring their fish, I don't see how a fish could do any harm either.
