New Pics of the Boys! (and a quick Q)

Got bored, and everyone seems very active tonight... especially Nina. Little miss camera shy wouldn't stay still for me. I got the boys though.

I'm a bit suspicious that Tifa may have a bit of fin rot. It's hard to tell, since the tips of his fins have always been dark. but tell me what you think, and if I should go ahead and treat with salt/meds or if I should just do extra water changes. Or if he just nipped it?

Here you can see the little piece of his fin that I'm suspicious about... thoughts?

Out of focus I know, but I thought it looked kinda sweet.




Next up is my neurotic little guy, Cameron. I apologize for the less-than-perfect water, it's water change day and I'm literally about to take care of Winston and Cameron after I post this. Tifa and Nina had to face the wrath of the cup earlier today. :)

And last up of course is my big boy, Winston. I wish Nina would have stood still! Grr. Next time, promise!


Anyway... here are Winston's scales in incredible focus. Didn't know my camera was capable of this.


You can see the little bubble nest he started!


This one makes him look like a dragon. Not the betta type, but like a DRAGON. He's the only fish I know that can take pictures like this.



Anyway there ya go. I know I post pics of these guys often, but it's hard not to!

Aww your fish are cute! Tifa doesn't look like he has fin rot, might have just caught it on something. However, if you are concerned, AQ salt never hurts, so you could go ahead and try that.

Oh, and Cameron and my guy Piglet could be brothers - holy moly!! Here's a pic of Piglet when I got him and now (he's a marble DBT and decided to start biting his tail). Their colors are so similar and I've only seen a few that look like them!:

The colors of the first betta are simply amazing, I want to get one like that next!

Oh wow! Piglet does look oddly similar to Cameron! You guy's fins are a tad more translucent than mine. Gorgeous fish though!

Wow, your guys colors are so vibrant MetalBetta! they are very pretty :)

kuklachica, your marble, looks almost 100% like my marble deltatail Firedrake, but Firedrake has gotten more red in the body and fins since he came home so he doesn't look AS marbled anymore, but you can still tell he is one.

And yeah, for wal-mart fish they've become incredibly vibrant fish. Inside and out. They're growing on me bigtime, and I'm always going to have bettas in the house wherever I go because of these guys. And girl of course. :)
