F'lessan the new guy

A few days ago i went to pet smart to get a new betta (not the best place to go but at least i get the joy of saving a fish from a cup.) I walk over to the betta section and i see th usual red and blue selection. none look healthy but one catches my eye. He is a red/brown VT male (probably the uglyest one there!) with a little fin rot (if u want a pic see my avatar) I look at him and continue looking at the rest but my eye keeps going towards him.I walk back towards him and he seems to wake up and relize he is still alive and then he sees me he quickly swims around his cup looking for a way out. I pick him up and look him over closley the light shines in and I see his beautyful blue stripes as if showing off he picks up his fins and show how pretty he can be. By this point i know he is the one and buy him on the way home i start brainstorming names...Dragon..Eragon...Jaxom..Robinton...F'lar.. .F'LESSAN! Yep F'lessan that is the one! When I get home I put him in his bowl and he happily explores his new surrondings.

That was a few days ago and now every time i see him he purks up and swims awround yesterday i stared at him admiringly for an hour!


I think i found my dream fish!(however ugly he may be!)

P.S. His fin rot seems to be geting better but if you have any sudustions pleas say them!

He sounds lovely. I have a connection with all my guys. They're my little men!

For fin rot: warm, clean water and religious water changing is I would go.

My betta fish Alex is like my son xD He has a few scratches on his body and I spent all night watching him worrying...I love your bettas name...I am yet to figure out how to say it though lol! For fin rot just follow the medications instructions and keep doing water changes :] He should get better.

I have the water warm and i added some salt and I cleaned the water this morning! He is still eating like a pig and is very lively so i hope that means he is not to sick.

I thnk he likes Elvis Costelo! He was dancing to it. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahah

[Betta Slave]

Congratulations on your first betta! Petsmart is actually where I get all my bettas (except for Hattie, who I ordered from a breeder.) If you look carefully, you'll find some pretty nice bettas there! I managed to find a plakat (avatar) labeled as a female.

If he's eating, he's obviously feeling okay, and finrot isn't that hard to cure, don't worry.

he is not my first betta i had one when i was 3-6 but i don't really remember it.
I did look closley my sister got a healthy blue white one that i think is the prettyist in the world but he has NO personality he just swims arown lazily and seems not to know you are there unless you feed him of put your finger in his bowl. as i said i got the bigest uglyist betta at petsmart but boy does he have an interesting personality when i fed him this morning he jumped out of the water and stole the food out of my finger! C= hahahahahaha

I think he is ugly by betta standards and beautyful by crow standards.
