Is a ceramic cup okay?

i have this ceramic cup i made last year and im wondering if its safe for my betta. It does have paint on it, but it will not chip/flake and the paint/cup has been furnaced(fire treated). Heres a pic

I hope you mean to place inside his tank, not to put your betta IN it. ROFL
Sorry, I have no idea if the paint will be harmful.

Is it paint or glaze? If it's glaze it should be fine.

oh yeah i meant glaze, i forgot the name of it so i just said paint(x but yes fire treated glaze. and vilmirisv of course not! hahah that wouldn't be a good idea..

What kind of glaze was it. My understanding is some glazes are not meant to be under water.

ohhh.. what kinda glaze IS meant to be under water? I may not remember what kidn it is but if you tell me some types i might remember..

Older glazes will leach toxins... and some homemade glazes will still do this. But if it's a commercial glaze, it shouldn't leach.
