I would recommend changing to a higher quality pellet food. Pellets help eliminate excess feeding and the presence of uneaten food in the tank. They also tend to be of higher quality and are easier for your betta to digest than flakes. I recommend OmegaOne betta buffet pellets, Atison's betta pellets, Ken's betta crumbles, and New Life Spectrum. 3 pellets once a day or two pellets in the morning and evening are a good amount to feed your betta.
Freeze-dried foods have a fairly low nutritional value and can cause bad constipation in bettas. I have had bad experience with freeze-dried bloodworms causing constipation in my own fish, so I do not recommend them. If you must use them, I suggest breaking them into small pieces and fully hydrating them in tank water. It is good to hydrate flakes and pellets as well since fish bodies were not meant to digest bready air-filled foods.
