You would get Halfsuns or HM with extended rays. You would also probably get some full halfmoons and full CTs.

I also asked the same thing to an ibc member and he told me its not a good thing to do he said you get half moons that look web like a frogs foot or ducks foot they look like fin rot he said the ibc dont like it and you will not win and there is no point in putting more mutt bettas out there the pet store's do a good enough job at that

I agree with that but most of the breeders on here are hobbyists just looking for "the experience of breeding" so form and fins isn't as high a priority as it should be.

Yeah i am a member of IBC and im in it for the fourm and fins thats why i do things by the IBC handbook the ibc member also said if someone is going to do it then plain on putting some years into them because your gonna want to make your own line he said your gonna want to take them fry grow them and pick the best ones that dont look mutated and then breed those and you will have your own line/type of betta that look decent and you should start locking in the halfmoon by that time

Ya I've done it and inbred but they came out with ugly fins but great color. It's your choice really but I'd go with two fish of the same tail type, just for better finnage. I am not (YET) a member of the IBC.
