Stressed Fish

K, so I've had my female betta for a while now and she still has her stress stripes. They do fade a bit and come back...is there anything more I can do other then keeping her light off and conditioning her water?

How is she acting? still eating and swimming normally? making regular water changes to maintain water quality? temp at 78-80F?

I change the water twice a week, she is in a 5 gallon. She eats great and her water temp is around 80-82. She's active and always hanging out on the side of the tank with less plants as if she is looking out and watching us. She always comes as close to the glass as possible when I approach her.

Some females have stripes as part of the normal coloration and if she is acting fine and you are making regular water changes and temp is stable-I would not worry about the stripe it may not mean stress, can you post a pic?

IMO-it looks more to be part of her coloration, she is a very pretty girl by the way...
