Exclamation new betta possibly sick?

i just got a betta today and i noticed he hasn't eaten much since i got him and he pretty much just sits in one spot. i know he needs to get used to his new tank but i read on the internet all the signs of illness and he seems to be showing a few such as hanging in one spot and hanging at the bottom, going up for air occasionally and going back down. any advice would be appreciated. thanks, alex.

We need some more info. Size of the home he is in? Did you use a water conditioner? Do you have a heater? What are you parameters (Ph, Ammonia, etc.)? Is the tank cycled? How long have you had him?

Unhappy A sick betta?

If he's on the bottom of the tank the tank is to cold. Try heating it up to 82*F.
Good luck!

today he was kind of swimming around but still pretty sluggish. he is in a 10 gallon with conditioned water. the tank is at 76 degrees roughly.

Heat pads aren't worth it, go for an adjustable heater so if an illness arises you can raise the temperature as you please.
Good luck!
