Good Art/Paint Programs?

Hello everyone
I'm wondering, does anyone know any good paint/art programs for the computer othe than The Gimp? I am just wondering, because I think I'd like to try something new.

The Gimp is kind of your basic paint program. You can do some pretty neat stuff there. You can download it for free too. Just search "The Gimp" on Google.

I use Paint Tool SAI. Great program--if you like GIMP you should like SAI. It's not really editing or effect software like Photoshop, it focuses more on pen/brush tools along with really nice vectoring tools.

It isn't "free" unless you know where to look, of course. But it's also not retardedly expensive like Adobe programs if you choose to use it legit.

check out sketch up. its not like any paint program and more like drafting but you can def. do some cool things there, plus its a free download.
