Is this fin rot?

I went on vacation for a while and missed the water change. I've been feeding flakes, so the waters kind of dirty as well. Will try to fix this asap, looking for advice and how to approach this problem. Please help me determine if Scarlett has fin rot. It might not be, but if it is, I'm trying to catch this early.

Depending on how long it has been since you made a water change and if the tank is filtered or not, but I would start by making daily water changes 50-100% over the next 4-5 days.
How big is the tank, how much and how often on the water changes and when was the last one, additives used, filtration, live plants, water temp.

You have a beautiful Betta btw....love to see more pic of him..

Does he have anything sharp in his tank? Plastic plants? Something he might tear his fins on? Lucky may have something like that from tearing his fins. I was told it was the natural healing process.

He probably has something sharp in the tank to rip his fins. remove the plants that are sharp. see if that helps.

I only have flourite substrate in the tank and smooth rocks. Is it possible that its the flourite thats tearing his fins?
