Passed up THE most AMAZING betta today...

I went to petco today to price check cat trees for my work and I couldn't help but see the HUGE display of bettas as they are positioned directly across from the entrance... And I saw him!

A Mustard Gas dragon HMPK.

I had had HAD to pass him up! It sucked so badly! He had a kinda grumpy face with that gorgeous metallic opaque shimmer over his entire body with those greenish yellow fins and the blue trimming on the fin edges. He basically looked at me like he was taunting me and I had to pass him up!

I just moved into this new place and my space is so limited and I just got Pina a month ago. I am out of tanks (unless I dug my baby biorb out of storage...) and I honestly have not a single spot in the house to put it! (I already checked)

Please help me! Words of wisdom? Words of comfort?

Well, with his beauty he'll probably go to another home eventually. Who knows? He and his owner might end up back on this site? =]

Gah I know that feeling!! I found a dark blue king betta that I just NEEDED but I had to pass him up. It sucked so bad! I had finals that week so I wouldn't of had time to keep up with him along with my 4 other boys :(

I'm in the same boat you are. I really don't have room for anyone and I keep trying to find ways to make it work. It just isn't happening. :D Now... if I got a new bookshelf.... :D! Don't feel bad. Someone will love him! It's good that we don't impulse buy. That would probably lead to some kinda problem down the road!

your lucky they allowed you to keep betta in your dorm.my mom gave mine all 25 of mine away when i went to uni.you can't hurt as bad if you din't own it and got attached like they were your buddies =(

I am no longer allowed to look at Bettas in any store that may have them.

I always buy one because, "I don't have that color/pattern/tail yet." Or the other option, "But he needs to be rescued!"

It was a lose lose and got to be where I just didn't have space, lol. I definitely know the feeling.

I think we have all been there! LOL. My latest was a beautiful solid bright yellow crowntail. I found him out of town at a Walmart of all places.
