He's cute but his tank looks very dirty, I would get a turkey baster and take out the under gravel waste on a daily basis. It looks like his fins may have ammonia burns at the white edges on the bottom? How big is your tank?looks small. A one gallon tank needs 100% water changes at least two-three times a week.

i think it's your computer.the water looks super clear to me =)

I believe that the white edging his fins is a result of the flash from my camera. they aren't there in person or in the picture posted above. you're turkey baster suggestion worked great! thanks for your help!

I think sjones was talking about waste under the gravel-yes, the water looks clean but that doesn't mean that the tank is. I, too, see a lot of waste and excess food underneath the stones.
