Exclamation Behavior change, eating normal.

Tika, our betta, has been acting different the past two to three days. He is normally a very active fish and does laps around his 4 gallon aquarium. However, off late he has taken to lying at the bottom of the tank.

He is eating normally, is quick and agile when he does move or go to the top of the tank to breathe. There is no sign of pop eye or fin rot or any of the other betta diseases I have read about. He has just taken to sitting at the bottom. I gave him some betta pellets soaked in garlic juice earlier today.

Any suggestions on what is going on?

Gill movement normal

Also, I forgot to mention- Tika's gill movement is normal- he seems to be breathing normally- no sudden or irregular breaths.

Sorry you are having problems...have a few question....

In the 4g-how much and how often are the water changes and when was the last one, water temp, filtration, additives used, if any, live plants, how long have you had him and how long the 4g been set-up? What kind of food and feeding schedule?
