I've never seen one before him. We usually see him in a yard about a 1/2 block from here when we drive to the train station in the mornings. I'm pretty sure he lives under their shed. Their property backs up on a park.
I wish we had better pics. He's really pretty in person. I'll keep an eye out for him. There's a den right across from us by the creek. I don't know if he'll use it but I can hope! Other groundhogs have used it. Black groundhogs are supposed to be rare. When we saw him behind the neighbors deck we went running around like the three stooges trying to grab our camera. We love animals. :P
