So Tony isn't visibly sick, but he's spending a lot of time laying down today. Only really pops up and has a spaz fit when someone is near his tank. Water has been tested and everything is normal. His temperature is perfect. I can't tell if he's just being grumpy and lazy or if he's sick. But again, the lethargy is the only symptom.
Like, he has one of those leaf beds that's suction-cupped near the surface. He just loves laying on the suction cup part, sleeping. If we come over he wakes up and has a spaz fit, but otherwise he is just laying around a lot. Doesn't appear to be having any trouble breathing.
Did a change Saturday night. Going to check the water parameters shortly and see if he needs another change, but I doubt it. And the water we used last was pre-tanned and aged. 75% change.
Is he swimming ok? A healthy fish is an active fish. 9 out of 10 times the problems with betta are water related but lets see what he is like in the next couple of days.
No issues swimming. When he seems bored, his tail sinks down a bit. Like anti-floaty-butt. But again, I think he is just bloody lazy when he's not tearing around. I'll keep an eye on him, I was just curious what other people thought. Never had such a bipolar pet. :P
He only clamps when he sleeps, which is obviously fairly normal, or right after he wakes up. Then he's all surly. He gets this look on his face like "you. what have you done."
:P
He's quite strange.
Like he has blue eyes so you can always see where he looks. So if he's hungry, he literally looks at you, then up, then at you, then up.
