The joys and pains of marbles.

I really wish there was a way to press pause with marbles. Two weeks ago, Storm looked like a super model and I thought he was done changing. Well this weekend I had a mini photo shoot and noticed black spots popping up .

Meanwhile, Thunder started giving Storm a run for his money and now out of no where a red spot pops up on his head. Uggghhhh, this is so frustrating.

Anywho, here are their transitions.

And here is Thunder. He started to marble before he arrived.

*Whistles* They are both stunning how ever they change!! I know how you feel, two of my boys have changed to exactly how I don't prefer them. LOL

Thank you. My biggest fear is walking to the tank one morning and seeing Freddy Krueger.

On a good note, my husband is intrigued by marbles. So I may get to use this to my advantage!!! "Is that a new fish? No, he just changed colors." LOL!

They are gorgeous. I would kill to get my hands on just one male like that to breed. Rio is a great fish but he's no where near as heavy with the marble gene as either of your boys.

So the heavier the marble gene the better? I would have thought the opposite because there would be no way to tell what you would when you breed. Is this why fancy marbles are so expensive on AB?

For me the heavier the better :) I want to breed a line like the boys you have there, I just love the colors and LOVE watching them change... I like the not knowing what you'll get.

I think the reason they're so expensive is just because they are so popular, I don't agree with that. If I'm going to sell a fish I'm going to have set prices based on factors like form and finnage.
