Question Help? Fin rot? Maybe? Or tore?

I was looking at my VT Laurent, and I noticed that his lower fin is sort of looking shredded. I don't think his rainbow rock is sharp enough to do that, but I'll have to check tomorrow when I clean his tank....
I'm hoping it's not fin rot, but....I'm not sure. I can't get my pics to upload, so I can't show you guys.

Sometimes, just the dragging of the fins over things can cause some shred.
I had one shred fins in a tank that had the big glass type stones and he would get his fins somehow pinched between them and would shred and look bad.......

Keep the water really clean with some 50-100% daily water changes to prevent secondary infections
