Sad and Happy times.

Unfortunately last night Shelby was looking a little dropsy and I quarantined him alone in his tank. I treated him and changed water, but he didn't make it through out the night now I wonder what I did wrong. My tank is a nice little setup crystal clear water, no algae and filtered with Ghost his albino cory cat tank mate. Ghost is perfectly fine and I moved him into my brothers 5 gallon tank with his betta. I wonder if he had something to do with it.

On the brighter side of life I was at Petco getting saltwater tank surplus and decided to get another one since they have a RIDICULOUS selection of bettas so I no have a crowntail named Starburst.

Please critique me on my betta skills (after all don't want to screw up this stuff on saltwater fish).

I am sorry for your loss. I know how guilty you feel as I am currently treating for fin rot. You can only do your best. Congrats on getting a new man, he is very nice.
You are lucky to have somewhere to go with such a large variety. The pet stores near me (im in Aus) dont stock many and your rarely see anything other than veil or crown tails.

The Petco by me in Illinois has everything: kings, crowns, doubles, veils, etc... This pic didn't do him justice last night he was flaring up a storm fins out and all, plus to boot he made a bubble nest too.
