Need Advise On Posible Aquabid Purchase

I've been drooling on an orange dragon pair since my first Aquabid purchase fell through because the seller said the male I bought bit his tail.
I don't plan to breed, just to look at :D
I really like the female since most at petshops are blue and pale looking.

I saw the tear on the male's fin but I can live with that.
I just think they are gorgeous but I know nothing about quality and since I'm spending this amount I want a good quality fish eventhough I don't plan to breed in the near future.

They're nice enough. The female is much better than the male in my opinion. Personally I don't think that pair is worth $40.. especially since your not going to breed.

I agree with 1fish2fish, a little pricy for a nonbreeding pair and the female is better than the male. The male seems like he's got a rosetail thing going on, and I definitely wouldn't get fish with rosetail tendencies for a starter pair. Some use them to alter a line they already have going, but they're not ideal for starting a new line imo. Especially if you're breeding rosetail to rosetail, you'll get some messed up fry. You'd be better off getting a nicely balanced halfmoon pair.

if you think about it, most pairs, especially dragons, are more than 40 bucks on that site.

I dont like the dorsal on the male, But you said your not going to show him or breed so if you like them get them. But you dont need a pair if your not going to breed. To me that is only a 15 dollar fish, the male..

so cute. i saw a awesome betta at petsmart it had a white body and a pink and purple tail and fins. suuuch a pretty boy!!!!! wanted him soooo bad!

Thanks guys! I have decided not to purchase that pair.
I bugged 1fish2fish with questions about the ones I was considering and I made up my mind.
