Cool Feeding

Most Betta Fishes Don't need alot of food!!!!!
Feeding Schedules are important for those getting fish!!!
You should feed your fish three times a week at maximum!
A Weekend Feeder is a great idea too... It lets of food every so often to keep them feed and hydrated!!!
Flakes are good for your fish as long as they have nutrition...you should aslo try to get one made especially for betta!!!! Freeze Dried Blood Worms are a nutrious food but should not be used as regular food. Think of this food as snacks or desert no more than once a week should your betta eat these!

I also feed in the AM and also in the PM. But i feed brine shrimp in the AM and blood worm's in the PM..

I dont over feed thou, From what i understand a good rule of thumb is the fish you are feeding, His stomach is as big as his eye. So just think about that when you feed and you shouldn't have a problem with over feeding..

alexanderismylife, You should watch your fish and make sure you don't over feed it!!!
Also Food gives energy that is probably why your other fish is less active...you should feed both fish the same amount of food!!!!

Isn't feeding your fish alot of bloodworms not good for it? It causes bloating and sometimes it can give them parasites (depending on the type).

That's what I do and my fishy is happy and healthy. :)

I feed two or three betta pellets every day fasting once or twice a week usually on weekends when I'm not home. He gets bloodworms when I think he's sick of pellets or he's been really cute. When I feed him bloodworms it's either a small pinch or only one or two in conjunction with his two pellets.

I don't think I'm overfeeding at all... everything I've read suggests I might be underfeeding but he's very happy and healthy and active so I think I'm doing something right.

=)
