My tanks are side by side, I use scrapbook paper (it has nice design's on both side's) to put in between the tanks so my boy's can't see eachother.
And I just remove the paper for playtime, I let them flair at eachother for 5 min's a day.

I have a question tho : is rubber bands really safe for ur fish... any old type of rubber bands...

I don't really know about rubber bands. What are they used for? I normally use hair ties instead, like for tying nylon to the filter intake.

I have used rubber bands for YEARS (to hold a baffling sponge to a filter, to hold plants to drift wood) without any problems.

Yeah rubber bands are fine.. if they start to get old or fall apart you can just replace them. They won't hurt the fish.
