Yes, I meant 50 old/50 new. If he is sick though, you should do 100% daily. I agree with Jade, need a closer pick of the area you are worried about.

And you should switch the food gradually. As you would with any animal. It could be that a lack of proper nutrition (or improper nutrition) has lead up to this problem over time.

I tired, I don't know how well this picture is. To be honest the first picture I posted is probably the most clear to what is on him then the new ones I am posting, but I will post them up anyways.

Also, when feeding him the pellets is there a specific time of the day I should feed him? And how many times per day?

Honestly, I tired a bunch of times I don't know why the pictures are not coming out that clear. But as I said before, the first picture I have is pretty much the only one that shows what is wrong with him. It looks like his fin fell off or something, and its rotten.. and its just like a ball on his back where the fin used to be. I hope that helps.

It could be that he has fin rot. You'll need to find some medication for him (can usually ask at your local petstore) and do daily water changes with medication. You'll also want to clean all of the items in his bowl, and put in new gravel (therefore, it would be advisable to move him to a smaller "hospital" bowl/tank for the time being.) There are numerous threads regarding fin rot in the forum for more information.

I would advise against medication, because you or use are not sure what it is. It could be Fin Rot, a severe fungus, or a severe Bacteria.

Maybe I should just take him into the pet store? That way they can see for them selves what it is?

Yes, that would probably be the best solution, keeki.
