Exclamation Water change!!!

I've had my fish for 2 weeks, did his first PWC last week (50%). When should I do a 100% water change? He's in a 5G btw.

Does it have a filter? If not I would do 50% water changes every 2 day's. When you do the change;s, If you can siphon from the bottom so it's removing the junk at the same time your changing water.. If it has a filter i would do 25% changes every week. And still siphon from the bottom when doing so... Again this is what i would do. Each person is different, Each tank is different..

No, you are not doing bad. :) Personally, I do 50% with a gravel vac on my filtered, cycled tanks a week.

@Lion Mom Phew. I'm not the only one then. That's exactly what I do.

Btw. Does anyone have any advice on how to cure a torn fin with Aquarium salt? Once again I have a 5G tank. How much salt do I put in?

I've read 1/2 a tsp per gallon. Some people put a whole tsp per gallon.

The best thing i have found for torn fin's. Indian almond leaf, It condition's the water and helps heal them like in the wild. When the leaves fall by nature.
