you can get special lights that says FOR PLANT GROTH on the box lol :) There a lot better to use for your tank too

I agree with KBoone I have the walmart fluorescent bulb and it was great for my anubias! =] I say was because mold struck from a betta bulb and ruined my plant. I was forced to take it out of water and put it in the sun. =/
