Very easy and interesting to read--good for a general overview: http://www.bettas-jimsonnier.com/genetics.htm

Has articles on more specific subjects that are also quite interesting: http://bettysplendens.com/articles/c....imp?catid=864

Oh, I forgot about that one. I mostly referred to it in the past when trying to explain to people why it's better to work with halfmoons than rosetails--that site has very nice photos.

Nevermind. I have picked the color, but I don't know what tail type to go with. Hmmm

Besides other forums (which I can't link to of course) those three are really the best sources on the net besides joining an IBC chapter and asking the breeders themselves.

Okay. Thank you. I am going to TRY to go with either Red, Orange, or Black Dragon PK or HM PK.

I hear Orange is really hard to work with. Red is pretty easy but there are still some issues with that. Black Dragons should be relatively easy as long as you get a sib pair.

On Dead Sunlights thread (I can't remember which one) I linked a bunch of articles from BettySplendens and two from Joep that focused mainly on Red/orange. They might help.

I always go to BettySplendens if I can never find the answer hear. :D That is where I found most of my info on how to breed Betta fish. I really might go with black I love the silvery eyes on them. What about the tail types I picked?
