Is this healthy?

I saw this guys tank and it looks pretty nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_d8g0yiAl4

Could i do that too? mine will be planted though with anubias nana, and 3 fake silk plants, and a cave. so there will be many hiding places. It will be filtered and heated as well with an air pump. His is a 5, but mine is a 5.5G, small difference but do you guys think this is doable and sustainable? I'm thinking my betta 4-6 neons, and 2 ghost shrimp. Ofcourse only if my betta is nice with them. If not, would 6 neons and 2 ghost shrimp be fine in a 5.5 G alone? i may give my sister my betta IF they do not get along, as her betta died last week:/

No, that would not work. The basic rule is 1 inch of fish per 1 gallon of water, so the tank in the video is over stocked. Tetras are schooling fish so they should be in a group of at least 5, so this would not work in your tank. The betta and 2-3 shrimp would be fine, but most other fish need to be in a school (or at least the ones that you can try with a betta). Also, tetras tend to be nippers, and a 5.5 gallon would not provide enough space for a betta to get away.

For an idea of how much to put in a tank, please see our sticky thread on stocking in the compatibility section.
