Question please help! (plant question)

i have a lucky bamboo plant in my room. with lucky bamboo, you cut part off and put it in water and roots grow. i was wondering if i could put lucky bamboo in my betta's tank. is it safe for bettas? can the leaves be underwater? is betta water conditioner safe for plants? thanks!

I've seen pictures on here and the net with bamboo in a fish tank. If you want to put it in then leave the top half and the leafs out of the tank, with just the roots in the water if you don't have filtration then you will have to watch it carefully because it tends to rot and will add ammonia to your tank but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong :)

Years ago I put Lucky Bamboo in some tanks completely submerged. It didn't work out so well - the plants rotted. :(
