Well, Maya and Aqua have lost their stress stripes and have very few white spots. Queeny also has very few white spots. But Nala is still covered in them.

What if you put each one in a 1-gal hospital tank and treat them individually with frequent water changes? Do a 100% cleaning on the 20-gal sorority to rid it of the ich permanently might be the only solution to getting rid of it, and then put the females back in.

It might be the easiest way to get it out of the tank. :) If you keep all of them in there together in the infected tank, if one does start to get better it'll just get attacked again, and I can only imagine how miserable they must feel. I wonder if it feels like an intense case of Chicken Pox...

But I still have some tank mates in with them and one of them has ich as well. I removed the catfish and bamboo shrimp.

Put the healthy ones that aren't aggressive in a different tank with each other and QT all of the other ones in 1 gallon rubbermaid bowls

I was afraid that might cause even more stress.

Hmm... I wonder what OldFishLady thinks about doing it the individual QT way, when it comes to the stress. I'm not really sure myself.

Ich is a parasite so if its in the tank you need to treat the whole tank, taking the girls out won't really solve the problem.

I used Quick Cure on my fry with Ich, in conjunction with high temps. After a week the ich was gone but I continued to medicate for another week (to make sure the parasite was completely gone).

You have to treat all the way up to a week after you stop seeing the spots so the parasite is completely killed.

The Quick Cure is at wal-mart, its pretty cheap and effective IMO.
