Saltwater Talk

I have my tank up and running and it finished its cycle this week so I have 2 Peppermint Shrimp and a Yellow Tail Damsel so far. I got the Damsel at Petco for 4 dollars. HE WAS CHEAPER THAN MY BETTA($7)!!! Anyone have saltwater or want to start I can give you a rough estimate on price.

Is that a Bio/Nano Cube? I have 55 gallon saltwater. I love the Black Velvet damsel, they are so pretty.

It's a Oceanic 29 gallon Bio-Cube with the Damsel and 2 Peppermint Shrimp(not shown).

I thought so. I love my saltwater, and the only reason I have big tank is that I finally was able to get a Snowflake eel. The rock in the second photo with a big hole, it looks like you have Aiptasia. Are you going to put corals in it? What substrate are you using?

29 is a good size. What's the rough estimate on cost? It's so relaxing looking. Hehe.

Yes that is Aiptasia. The Peppermints have devoured most of them, thats the main reason why I have them plus they are a variety of cleaner shrimps which help clean the tank. Yes corals will be added but not until December when the tank has been more established. The substrate is Ocean Direct Caribbean live sand which is awesome sand it just takes a year for it to settle down.

Aprox cost:

Tank = 250 (marked down)
Stand = 90 (Bio Cube specific+marked down)
Sand = 40 (big bag 40 lbs)
Rock = 150 (at about $6.00 per lb+base rock)
Water = 25 (under a dollar per gallon pre mixed)
TOTAL = 555
