white goo on the surface of the water

does anybody know what the white goo on the surface of the water is? i have replaced the water multiple times and it just gets worse.

i think what you're describing is a protein build up,

i've seen it happen in a lot of my friends Betta bowls. i've noticed a pattern though, i've only seen it in tanks/bowls that don't have a running filter.

if you don't have one, consider purchasing one, the pressure of the filtration may break up the surface of the water enough to keep this from happening again :)

i don't think it's harmful, just gross and annoying, try scooping it out whenever you spot it :)

Haha yea I recently contacted my local pet store and they suggested an air pump. Well I purchased one and now it keeps the water moving. It only appears when I leave it off for a day or so. Thanks anyway! :)
