does she looks bigger than the rest of the females?

Umm not sure about her/his gender, but for the female making bubblenests question, the answer is yes.Two of my females have made bubblenests before. So yeah females could also make them.

okay this might sound just plain crazy but i was going to post a thread asking the samething because yesterday i was on the computer and i have my Alfa Female Neptune, and she was blowing tiny bubbles like for air and the bubbles were staying there. i could swear that she is a plakat but she has a huge egg spot so it cant be. and she doesnt flare an awful lot. but i do kind of disagree with "beat2020". only because females cant blow bubblenest and maintain them

Drina is blowing & maintaining her bubble nest. I pour more water into her tank earlier & it got rid of a few bubbles...she replaced them.

I got her last December & put her in the Sorority mid-January...& she was pretty small when I got her (not even an inch long).

I can't remember if she had the actual 'egg spot' but she had a large white patch that was pronounced behind her Ventral fins...at the time I thought that she was egg bound. She no longer has that patch, so she pretty much has a completely red stomach & is pooing for where said patch was.

From nose to tip of Caudal Fin she is probably 2inches. Her body isn't necessarily bigger than my other girls. Ami & her are the same size & Delta is only a little smaller than Drina (Vegas & Zeta are small)

I'm going to set up a little experiment. I have a double tank so I'm going to put Drina on one side & one of my females on the other side. If I get no reaction I'll try putting one of my males on the other side.

I just got back from Petco, there was a male CT whose fins were only like 1/4inch longer than hers. And there was another male with a spot like she had on her stomach (apparently not as egg dot...)

Okay so I put paper around the back of the double tank so Drina couldn't see any of the other fish than Vegas & in the past hour since she has been in the tank she has built a bubble nest. Not as big as the last one, but it is growing....

ah. neat! =] You had a Secret!boy! =]

well... that or... I know this sounds weird but.... well you know how humans can be born both-gendered? Couldn't other animals be born the same way?

I could be TOTALLY wrong... but it seems logical to me. =/

Still WAAAAAAY more likely that it's a Secret!Male. XD

Well congrats on whatever he/she is because they're absolutely Gorgeous!
