Red face My new fishie!

Here is my new fish named Claude! I found him in Petco and fell in LOVE with his unique fins!

He is a manly man of a fish :D Though I have issues with him at the moment.
He can't eat pellets D: He tries but he's been spitting it out! I dunno what to Dx!!
I also want to know what he is! Half of his fin is like a females but then the other half is like a normal betta male. I know he's a boy because of its long pelvic fins! He also has a unique color. Please help me identify him!

Very pretty!

His fin just looks torn. I don't think it's fin rot, since I don't see any brown-ish color at the edges. With any luck, his fin might grow back (though I think it's a little too short to do that.)

I believe he's a VT.

Oh, and he will get used to the pellets, keep trying. In a few days, if not, switch to some smaller pellets or flakes.

oh I don't think he has fin rot BUT I did give him some aquarium salt the first day! I changed his water today because on his first night he nipped a chunk of his tail off -sighs- I think he might be bored.

YES :D he was next to a dead red betta Dx he looked so miserable in his dirty cup! It was a ">0<" moment~ He has a totally different personality than my first fish Terrence~ But since they are both boys Terrence would probably never meet each other xD

Pretty boy!!!

I had the same problem with my bettas, so I started crushing the pellets between two spoons (just not too small, cause then it's just like powder). They seem to like it more. I am planning on buying some smaller pellets when I get the chance.

Very gorgous boy! I also love his coloring! Very unique! =] My betta Alexander when I first got him wouldn't eat pellets either at first...I just had to get smaller ones and he loves them so you might want to try different pellets if he doesn't eat the ones you have now..Probably smaller ones!
