Betta with sensitive stomach?

Ever since I've gotten Ty he's been having issues after eating. No matter what I feed him, he gets extremely bloated and lethargic for a day or two. I've tried Wardley, Aqueon and Hikari micro pellets thinking maybe it was the quality. I've also done freeze-dried bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp. I've played around with how much I've given him and the time in between (going up to 4 days between feedings) and no matter what he always has the same results.
So is it possible that he just has issues, maybe something internal? Is there anything else I can try. I just feel bad for the little guy becuase if I feed him, he gets so down and will just stay in one spot the whole day.

You could try frozen bloodworms. I switched all my bettas to them because Kilo gets bloated and Huey doesn't eat them fast enough and I end up tossing half the cube. I also give them frozen mysis shrimp a couple times a week. They love both.

Yeah, I went to buy frozen bloodworms but they were all out so I thought I'd try the frozen brine shrimp. I'll see if one of my friends has some so I won't waste it if it doesn't help. Thanks though. :)

I used to feed my guys a mixture of those same 3 types of pellets. One of my guys, Cielo, would get really bloated every two days or so on those. After doing some more research I bought Ken's betta crumbles and New Life Spectrum Small Fish sinking pellets (tho, they don't sink fast and my guys eat them before they do). Haven't had the problem since. I would highly recommend trying one of those, or Atison's or Omega One. Those are higher quality with less filler (think hot dogs vs. steak). Also, maybe try soaking them first? Maybe he can't process the dryness of the pellets?

Edit: Even tho cielo was the only one who got bloated, ALL of my guys' color and activity have improved with the new food. And the tail biters' bite less and their tails heal MUUUUUUUCH faster.

Thanks kuklachica! I do always soak them beforehand. I went out and go the New Life Spectrum food though. I'll try it out tomorrow since he's down again today. :(

Perhaps pellets are too much for his/her stomach, why don't you try feeding him/her flakes? I don't know anything about Betta's, so forgive me if they're the type of fish that have to eat pellets and not flakes!
