The New Oil Spill?

I posted this in the '"So What Are You Up To???"' thread but...

I think there is a new oil spill in the gulf. To see the story go here:

I really hope that this will NOT be as bad as the BP spill.

Jeez. How much more is it gonna take? Alternate energy! I hope they manage it better then BP did. Those poor animals.

I don't know if the oil spill was done on purpose or if it was an accident, I can't say because I wasn't there. But I think that if it was done on purpose for some reason, that would be pretty stupid because it affects those people just as much as anyone else. I feel strongly about it because I love the environment, but especially the ocean and it's creatures. It also causes problems for peoples jobs and their food sources who live there.
If I could I would love to go to the beaches where the oil has built up and help however I can. If anyone knows a way I can help without going, please let me know. :)
This reminds me of the Dawn commercial where they used their soap to wash animals who have been saved from drowning in oil.

Okay, I looked up more about it and of course the most known two ways you can help is buy going there or donating. If you can't do these then you can help by not eating sea food or anything that comes from the ocean, or recycle and be more reserved with using oil.
It's a very small way to help, but it's a start and it goes a long way, especially if you tell others and others see you going this, they may want to do it to and then it goes from one person to the next!

Sorry for double posting, but I just realized after I posted my first post (lol) that if you love seafood and like eating it, that can help people's business, so either way. It depends on the individual.

This is getting a bit ridiculous, however, that means my step-dad will be able to work down there bit longer until the place he used to work at gets back up and running this fall. Money was getting tight there.
I wish I could go down and help, but I would have to quit my job without knowing if I would be able to find one when the spill was all cleaned up. :( And I have no money to donate and I don't eat seafood anyways. ;) Well some good old Chesapeake bay blue crabs, but only if I catch them myself.

i feel so bad for the sea life... imagine wut all this oil is doing to the ocean creatures.... this is gonna affect them for millions of years
