Ignoring Food?

Aurora has just ignored his food. I heard this is common, but I was wondering if this may add ammonia into the tank? I think im being overddramatic, but i just rescued him a day ago from Petco and still dont know everything about Betta keepng. Only two pellets from Hikari, maybe 5 minutes ago.

If you leave uneaten food in the tank as it breaks down it can convert to ammonia, best to remove any uneaten food after feeding.

It is common for a new Betta to be off their food for a few days while they adjust to their new environment.

Yeah you just got him he is not at his best right now, give him plenty of clean water and let him rest.
