Ick Questions

The Ick in my female betta tank appears to be getting better. The temp in the tank is 85.7 F and my last water change was today. I have also been adding aquarium salt. The directions on the carton say 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons so that is what I have been doing. I just had a few quick questions: How often should the water changes be done until the ick is gone? If I am doing frequent water changes and using aquarium salt do i need to do anything else to get rid of the ick? Do I need to use a medication to completely rid the tank of ick?

IMO/E-The treatment you are doing should take care of the ich, I would make deep gravel vacuuming to manually remove the parasite from the tank as they fall off the fish for at least 3 days past the last day you could see the ich on the fish and slowly lower the water temp back to 76-80F.
