So sometime last week I made a thread with a list of things I should get for my future betta fish. I asked tons of questions and you guys were very helpful. I was feeling confident, but a little distressed about how much money it would cost. ($50-$70, because I don't have the tank or anything yet) Then the most wonderful thing happened.
My boyfriend's parents own a resale shop and him and I were looking for a dvd to watch. I look down, and there it is! A small tank that would definetly fit in my house with a light(not sure how many gallons, looks like at least 2),
betta food, a filter, some stuff to control algea, a couple fake plants (i'll do the pantyhose test), a siphon, and a fish net
all for $15!
How lucky is that?! It's like it was meant to be!
I had him save it for me so nobody else could buy it. I'm so excited! I'm going to be sure to rinse everything really well first, of course. Now all I really need is a heater and the betta. Well, after I set everything up and make sure it works, that is.
I started getting all excited and my boyfriend looked at me like I was crazy, haha. He was like, "Calm down, it's only fish stuff." Pssh, boys.
